Professional Dog Grooming Services
Care-A-Lot Pet Resorts offers an array of dog grooming and bathing services at each of our locations in Virginia Beach, Newport News and Moyock, NC. We love working with dogs of all sizes and breeds. What sets Care-A-Lot Grooming Salons apart from other salons? It’s simple, we make sure all our furry friends go home looking and feeling their best. We are able to accommodate all types of grooming styles including breed cuts, puppy cuts and even Asian Fusion Styling.
Whether you schedule your dog for a bath or groom they will receive 15 minutes of brushing, a nail trim and an ear cleaning. These services are included in the base price of all our baths and grooms. Upon request, we also offer other personal grooming services.
Our dog grooming staff goes above and beyond to ensure our guests are taken care of like they’re one of their own. We maintain open and honest communication between our staff and our guest’s owners. We believe keeping owners informed about their dog’s behavior during the grooming process is essential to the dog’s well being. Not all dogs do well during the grooming process; however as a team we will discuss any issues which may arise.
Care-A-Lot Pet Resorts uses and recommends Bio-Groom’s Groom n’ Fresh Shampoo which eliminates pet odor and keeps pets smelling fresh and clean. It also leaves the coat lustrous and moisturized and is safe for both puppies and adult dogs. Want us to use your specialty shampoo? No problem, just bring it with you to your appointment.

Teeth Brushing
We use special pet toothpaste that freshens your dog’s breath, reduces tartar and helps prevent periodontal disease. It’s important to maintain your dog’s dental needs because, just like people, dental issues can occur. Start your dog’s brushing needs as early in life as possible so that as they age their teeth stay healthy and in good condition.
Nail ‘Dremeling’ (also known as nail grinding)
With each bath and groom, we will trim your dog’s nails. Sometimes they are still rough after trimming though. Nail ‘Dremeling’ will smooth and round out the nail. So, if your fur baby likes to love and play on you, avoid scratches by choosing this option at your next visit.
