Summary/Objective
The Warehouse RTV (Return to Vendor) Associate is responsible for merchandise disposition; reviews merchandise to determine if the issue is vendor defective, customer damage or if the item is saleable. Stores and distributes material, tools, equipment and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.
Essential Functions

- Counts and sorts all incoming returned products to verify receipt of items on requisitions or invoices.
- Examines returned items to verify conformance to specifications.
- Processes and receives transfers; data entry responsibilities.
- Works with Warehouse Department on storage of returned particles according to identifying information.
- Compiles information and reports on use of stock, adjustments of inventory count and stock records, damage to stock, location changes, etc.
- Requests from vendors Return Authorization (RA) for replacement/credit.
- Complies and follows all procedures within company policy.
- Assists shipping and receiving in unloading trucks, checking in merchandise.
- Reads shipping orders to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed and/or shipped.
- Moves materials and items from receiving to bins or to other designated areas.
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code.
- Directs movement of product to ensure proper shipment to stores.
- Ensures warehouse is accessible and safe for personnel.
- Pulls orders from bins placing them on pallets or shelves; relocates orders to a holding area or shipping department.
- Marks materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
- Assists in counting of physical inventory.
- Weighs and measures new products to ensure conformance for shipping orders.
- Sweeps, dusts and mops. Organizes warehouse and work area for orderliness.
- Wears proper safety equipment.
- Must possess an understanding of OSHA safety rules for warehouse work

Work Environment
This position works in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters and tape dispensers.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee may frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Working more than 40 hours per week may be required at times. Occasional evening, weekend and holiday work may be required as job duties demand.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum 1 year of administrative related experience. Inventory management and/or shipping/receiving experience preferred.
