Summary/Objective

The Supervisor is responsible for supervision of the daycare/animals in Daycare facility and has been cross-trained to assume other duties as required. The Supervisor helps to guide new employees in their professional development according to the Company’s Orientation, Onboarding and training requirements.

Essential Functions

  1. Observes and reports accurately on all new dogs; carefully and immediately passing information to Assistant Manager or Manager. For all dogs in playgroup, reports any unusual behavior or eliminations and injuries to the Coordinator or management on duty immediately.
  2. Perform cross-trained duties as requested
  3. Maintains professional role modeling, Follows proper procedure and maintains a positive attitude.
  4. Open or close’s daycare/grooming facility as needed and requested by management.
  5. Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

This job operates in a store environment; daycare and grooming.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms, use a calculator, cash register, telephone and computer. This job requires the employee to lift at least 50 pounds infrequently.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. This position may require working over 40 hours.

Travel

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.

Required Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Completion of Pet CPR/First Aid upon hire.
